I’m using Bitdefender. When I double click the exe it opens the command prompt multiple times and executes code that is blocked immediately. I’m not very fluent with code but i see it’s attempting to edit the registry. The main install window remains open. I decided to proceed with the install and trust my antivirus to block anything. I also bought the scanner and really wanted to use it so I rolled the dice. After fully installing and opening for the first time, Windows firewall blocked two connections immediately, but the software was fully functional. I was able to calibrate fine and use all the features of the software.

The software of the scanner is safe. By the way, which anti-virus software do you use?

Why does EXStar attempt to modify the registry? I received my scanner today and went to install the software. My anti-virus flagged it for 5 different Malicious command line detected warnings.
